Your Sponsor-Sharing Choices
Before sharing registration information with event sponsors, we will send registrants an email containing a link they may use to opt out. The email will provide the deadline for submitting the opt-out request. We will not share a registrant’s information with event sponsors if the registrant submits the opt-out request before the stated deadline.
An opt-out request received after the deadline may not prevent information from being disclosed if the sponsor list has already been provided. In that situation, the registrant may need to contact the sponsor directly regarding information already in the sponsor’s possession.
You may also withdraw your permission for future disclosures by contacting us at support@instituteofwomenshealth.com. A withdrawal will apply to future disclosures by the Institute but may not require a sponsor to delete information that was previously disclosed. You must contact the sponsor directly to exercise rights concerning information already held by that sponsor.
Declining sponsor sharing will not prevent you from purchasing a ticket or attending an event unless sponsor sharing is clearly identified as necessary for a particular sponsored activity, promotion, drawing, or session.
We may also provide a sponsor with aggregated or de-identified event statistics that do not reasonably identify individual attendees.
Event sponsors are independent organizations and are responsible for their own privacy and data-use practices. Once information has been disclosed to a sponsor, the sponsor’s privacy policy governs its subsequent collection, use, retention, and protection of that information.
5. Other Third-Party Service Providers
We disclose personal information to trusted service providers that help us operate our website, communicate with users, process transactions, administer events, and provide our services.
